Scrumptious, does not come near describing the taste of a homemade loaf of Stilton and bacon bread made by a Bread Angel Di Holba in the Parish of Aston.



Her bakery started life as a wholesome side order to compliment her “Di Cooks” cookery business; known for its twice monthly takeaway service and catering for events and celebrations.

Di now shares her passionate and knowledge of bread making by running courses. She graduated as a Bread Angel and joined an amazing network of fellow bakers dedicated to baking and utilising traditional methods using the finest 5 simple ingredients - flour, yeast, salt, water and time!



The bakery and Bread Making Classes are run from her kitchen; a cosy welcoming workspace.  Holba is a long-term member of both the Real Bread Campaign and Slow Food Movement, as the historic traditions and rich culture of food are very important to her.

Her bread making class is the ideal course for those who would like to bake healthy, honest bread, but have never tried making it before.



When you attend her course, you will learn to how to knead a basic dough, how the dough should 'feel' in hand and recognise how it behaves during various baking stages. These 3 essential skills require practice and are the core foundation of successful bread making - a tactile experience that you can never learn from books.
