A new skill for a New Year
“Cakes of Good Taste” is renowned for making exquisite bespoke cakes in Bushey. Their creations are made by their long standing, experienced team of cake makers and decorators. I was fortunate to be invited on one of their “hand-painted” cake decorating courses.
They have a fantastic new teaching studio as well as a first rate commercial kitchen where they run their classes. On the day, I visited the class was been taught by the very talented Sarah Jones from The Chocolate Strawberry (a guest tutor). Susan Halil, owner of “Cakes of Good Taste” has organised some amazing guest tutors that will be joining them over the coming months; where they will be covering a wide range of decorating skills and other techniques.
Their kitchens and cake decorators regularly play host to a range sugar craft courses too. The popularity of these over the years has grown substantially with courses regularly full weeks before they are due to start.
In addition to cake making, their shop in Bushey Heath act as hubs for party organisers, sugar craft and the cake making community. A full range of partyware and cake making accessories are available in-store or on-line.
So why not start off the New Year with a new skill. Susan, in conjunction with Sarah Jones is giving away a class just for Hertfordshire Life readers. It will be the “Country Garden” hand painted cake course worth £95.
This class is suitable for all, from nervous beginners to experienced professionals. I can personally recommend their courses. I had a relaxing, fun day out with a fab group of ladies and a supportive tutor who encourages the artist within you.
